TAG Community was founded in 2016 by Mark Allen and David Logan CTA ATT (Fellow), with a simple belief: accountancy firms should never have to turn away opportunities simply because a client needs support outside their in-house expertise.
Having spent decades working with accountants, business owners, and professional advisers, Mark and David recognised a recurring challenge. Clients increasingly expected their accountant to provide guidance on a far wider range of issues than traditional compliance and tax work alone. Yet building every specialist service internally was often expensive, risky and impractical.

Rather than creating another traditional advisory firm, they created something different.
TAG Community was built to give accountancy firms access to an entire team of trusted specialists, expert partners, and fellow professionals, all working together to help members deliver more value to their clients.

Today, TAG Community supports accountancy firms across the UK through a multidisciplinary community of specialist advisers covering 28 service lines. Members gain access to technical expertise, events, training, peer learning, commercial opportunities, and a trusted support ecosystem that helps them confidently tackle complex client challenges.
While the community has grown significantly since its launch, the principle remains exactly the same: helping accountants strengthen client relationships, expand their advisory offering, and build more valuable businesses through the power of community, collaboration, and specialist expertise.
